I was just looking for some info on the Fuji Suncrest (mountain bike)
to see if anyone had any personal experience with this model or if
there is a "better equipped" m.b. for the money ($480. w/o tax).
This would be my first m.b. and wanted somethig decent to ride without
getting carried away but also not having to upgrade next year if I
start getting "into" biking.
Any comments/suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks,
FJS, Jr.

I don't know what kinda equip' come with that bike but for about
$500.00 you could get yourself a nice TREK MTN BIKE. I've had mine
for about 1 year and I still can't kill it ( and its not for a lack
of trying !! ). I have the shimano sti system (push button) and
its OK but I think the SUNTOUR gruppo is much better but if I had
it my my I'd have the good old thumb shifters turned under the
handle bar ... but thats just me

| 1493.2 | I love my FUJI SUNCREST | WOODRO::BERGERON | Sat May 05 1990 14:17 | 8 | |
I bought my Fuji Suncrest in Jun of 89. I am quite pleased with the
bike. I use it mainly for street driving with an ocassional off road
runs. I have approxiamately 2K mile on it and no problems at all.
I beleive the 90 model come with a Shimano speed shift system. Mine is
equiped with a shimano mountain LX system.
Good luck Bob
