I'm planning a trip for the beginning of July touring in Quebec (between Montreal and Quebec City.) Can anyone suggest any information or sources of information for cycling routes and must see sights? Any other tips would be much appreciated. Jamie

Two things: Drivers in Quebec are famous for being fast not giving cyclists much room. French Canadian cyclists often head for Vermont. That said, there is at least one book on bicycle tours in Canada available. I believe I have the pages on Quebec at home and can make you a copy. Patrick

I think I've got that book (The Complete Guide to Bicycling in Canada.) There is a bicycling map of Quebec which I haven't tracked down locally. Any cental/eastern Mass. stores that might carry it? Jamie

In 1976, I cycled along the St Lawrence Seaway east of Quebec City. The first hundred miles aren't so scenic, but I highly recommend the Gaspe' Peninsula: spectacular scenery; and the only place I've whale-watched from the saddle. Martin Griesmer |
