| So you guys are serious, huh? Never heard of New England? This is for
real? You're working for a company that probably employs 35,000 people
in New England, many others who have most likely transferred (or will
be transferring thanks to our friend mr. transition) to your area?
Well, since you don't know :-), New England is the region that makes
up Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut (open to debate however),
Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine. It's such a small geographic area
that the whole thing would fit in Colorado, Texas, any big midwestern
state. Many people in New England work or play in the neighboring
states so it's looked at as a region many times instead of as
individual states. For instance, many people from Massachusetts have
fled to southern New Hampshire to escape the long arm of the tax happy
Massachusetts politiicians, while still working a 1/2 hour away in
central Mass.
For sporting events they often have state finals and then a New England
final. Undoubtedly this is what mr. Thomasberg won. Then again, mt.
biking is still relatively new, so it could have been one big race open
to anyone in the area and they just slapped "New England champ" on him.
Well, how's that for a rambling answer?

I think that the New England Championships was the Grampy's race held in
Mt. Snow, Vermont. I was at the race last year and saw a bunch of racers
that I've only read about. Some of the one's I saw were Tinker Juarez,
Sara Balantyne. I remember that some guy from Specialized won, so that
must be him.
This year I think this race is going to be part of the NORBA (USCF) points
series. So all the folks in New England won't have to go down south or
out west to see those BIG NAMES racing away.

Maybe you should re-read the question? It said New England STATE Champion. It
did NOT say New England Champion.
In regards to transfers, don't come this way. The weather has been brutal out
here. You wouldn't like it.

| Doesn't everyone in New England have a Dorchester accent? Doesn't
everyone in the south talk like something out of Deliverance?
I saw it on TV,
Q.E.D. It MUST be true.

Yes, the only difference is that some like to make people squeal like
pigs some don't. I my self don't care to make someone squeal like a
pig.
