1436.0. "Cycling at BTO" by DEBUG::SCHULDT (I'm Occupant!) Fri Mar 02 1990 16:19

I've extracted my thread of questions and moved it to this note since I still
have some questions I'd like to ask about Vermont cycling.

    	In a similar vein, I'll be visiting Burlington VT for four weeks
    starting March 19 for VAX 9000 school. Can anyone tell me what
    the weather is like at that time of year? Is it worth it to bring
    the bike out that early? Any good riding around there?

    Absolutely!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    You could bring either your road bike or mountain bike. Could be a bit
    early in March, but with New England weather, you can't be sure.
    The riding in Northern Vermont is Great!

    Bring your skis too.

    Does anyone out there know of any clubs or organized rides in the
    Burlington, VT area? How about suggestions on gearing for a
    flatlander. I have a couple road bikes, one set up with a 21-13
    rear cluster and the other with a 24-13. I have a 28-14 in the
    parts bin. Would that be a better choice?
