I am seriously considering the purchase of a Schwinn Mesa Runner, in view of the negative 'press' my Murray bike inquiry got (and rightly deserved). I have seen the light! Does anyone have experience with this Schwinn model? It seems to compare favorably with the Nashbar T2000... Any commments would be greatly appreciated, since summer is almost half over!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the Mesa Runner a twelve-speed? For around $250, you might also want to look at the Miyata Park Runner, which is an 18-spd, quick release, indexed shifting, but I think has steel rims. This too, like the Mesa Runner, is a "city bike" in mountain bike drag. Dave |
