1234.0. "Prehistoric Time Trialists?" by CESARE::JOHNSON (At home he feels like a tourist) Wed Jul 05 1989 07:03

The following is from today's Vogon News Service:

"Strange disc-shaped features in slate deposits have been found in
California (Yreka - is that a mispelt Eureka?). They are between 2 and 7
cm across and 2 - 4 mm thick. They resemble very tiny bicycle wheels
with a central core and an outer rim, but with most of the spokes
    missing."

It seems that even our distant ancestors were trying to get by with
18-spoke wheels....

Yreka and Ureka are separate N. Calif. towns.
