    Is anyone planning on riding in any of the 12 weekly parts of the
    AFFBRAAM ( annual fun filled bike ride across america )? It actually
    started in Washington in early June.
    
    I am considering riding in either the New York section from 8/13-18
    or the New England section from 8/20-25. If anyone has any experience
    with previous rides I would appreciate hearing about them. 
    
    The brochure advertises this as a low cost tour. Camping at night
    but they carry your bags and gear in a van. Meals are extra but
    they arrange buffet brakfasts and dinners and say to estimate $15/day
    for food.The cost is $120 for the week. They also have a bus service
    to get you from one of the trip to the other, at the beginning or
    end of the week, for $50. This is not a fund raiser. They limit
    each trip to 300 riders and have about 180 signed up for NewEngland
    and about 150 for New York.
    
    Although I've gone on commercial tours I've never camped out before
    or gone on a tour with more than 20 people. I'd really like some
    company. I have a Yakima car top bike carrier and I'm willing to
    drive if we can agree on which tour, etc.
