1141.0. "TREK 950 VS. Fisher Advance?" by PARVAX::POLAKOWSKI (Changes in Attitudes, Changes in Latitudes) Sun Apr 30 1989 09:56
My wife and I have finally decided to do it. Were finally
going to give up on our old ten speeds (20+ years old) and
purchase new mountain bikes. After much searching around
we've narrowed our choices down to two bikes:
1. The TREK 950.
2. The FISHER ADVANCE.
Each bike has comparable features: Full Shimano Mountain LX
Component group, full CrMo frame & fork, the TREK comes with
Matrix Singetrak rims, the Fisher with Arraya rims, they both
come with quick release seats, quick release front and rear
wheels.
I'm looking for comments (both pro and con) on both of these
bikes. They both cost in the same price range (the Fisher is
$25 more then the TREK). Is there any reason to go for the
extra $50 (for two bikes).
Thanx,
Ken

If you're short (5'6" or so) check out the Rockhoppers for sale in note 1007.
Could save you some money (maybe).
