I just bought a Miyata Triple Cross last weekend, for my
fiance. We were down at Sunshine Sports in Nashua, and he went
for a test ride and loved it.
He was looking for a mountain bike, but didn't want to give up
the turning features so he could he ride on the road.
It rides very smoothly on the rode, yet it does just fine on
a dirt trail. It has 18 speeds, and the front gears (all three)
are oval shaped, which gives you quite a push.
It's very light (23lbs), and a lot of fun to ride. I'll have to
pick up the magazine and see what they say about it.

1075.2 | Shops that carry Miyata? | CINEMX::GARABEDIAN | | Fri Apr 07 1989 12:10 | 10 |
| Does anyone know of a bicycle shop (except for Sunshine Sports)
that carries the Miyata line. I would prefer New Hampshire shops
but will settle for others. I feel a need to do some price
comparisons.
Thanks

If you are just looking for price comparisons then give the Cycle Center
in Natick, MA a call. They have been willing to discuss price on the
phone in the past. They are very friendly.

1075.4 | Specialized RockCombo | VERVE::BUCHANAN | Bat | Fri Apr 07 1989 13:14 | 4 |
| I understand that Specialized has a new bike called the RockCombo which sounds
like a similar design. Sorry I don't know much about it but I've always been
partial to the Specialized line having owned a road bike and still the happy
owner of a Stumpjumper. Might be worth the while to check it out.

1075.5 | RockCombo- more like an ATB than Road bike | CURIE::HUPPERT | | Fri Apr 07 1989 14:38 | 4 |
| I've seen the RockCombo-
If these Cyclocross bikes fall on a scale somewhere between ATBs
and Road bikes, the RockCombo seems to be closest to the ATB end
of the scale. Its outfitted with drop bars, but retains 26" wheels.
