Has anybody mail ordered from a company called "The Finals".
I got there catalogue from an add they had in Bicycling. I got the
catalogue last week, compiled a list of 5 items that I wanted to
order, and called the 800 number. 3 of the items are sold out,
1 item is on backorder until mid-April, and the 5th item will be
shipped out to me promptly.
Is this normal for the company? Or just my lucky day?

I've ordered some stuff from them from time to time. I have about the same
luck getting stuff from them as I do from the other mail order companies.
Note that I've always had VERY good luck getting stuff from Performance,
despite what others have said about them. Remember, catalogs are printed well
in advance of their distribution, so there's always a chance that some stuff
either didn't come in on time, or gets sold out in the mean time. Give these
guys a break! They're giving us a break on the prices.
Time to get off the soapbox.
