I was looking at the Athena group this weekend and come to find
out you cannot upgrade the pedal system on that group. According
to the people at Naults the crankarm is 15mm thick instead of the
standard 12mm. This would make the spindle to be 3mm short which
would cause the pedal to flex and possibly crack the crankarm.
Has anyone heard of this problem??

If you are interested in buying this groupo, I recommend you get
the answer from the horses mouth...campy USA. They have a customer
support hotline 1-800-USCAMPI.

I called the Campy people and they stand by there product. They
said the engineers know about the problem but it isn't serious enough
to worry about so any pedal system will work.
