The new issue of Bicycling magazine (Jan/Feb '89) has some interesting articles that might be of interest to the BICYCLING Noters. This issue has Andy Hampsten (Bicycling Mag's "Cyclist of the Year") on the front cover. BTW, a subscription to this magazine does make a nice holiday gift suggestion for those still searching for gift ideas. Some of the articles of interest are: "How to Choose the Right Bike" "The Principles of Pedaling" "Basic Bike Care" "How Not to Waste Time on Your Indoor Trainer" (10 tips on maximizing winter workouts) "VO2 Max" (the first in a series of short articles explaining fitness concepts) I found the article on "How Not to Waste Time on Your Indoor Trainer" This was a most helpful article for what my current training needs are. I find the articles are generally well written and helpful.

OK, how come I can't find it on any news stand? I know stores carry it because I've seen old issues. Is it not on the news stands yet? Or is it just a great stocking stuffer and they're all gone? Shannon | |||||

I can't answer that one. I have a subscription to the magazine, so I get it in the mail. I'm sure it'll hit the stands real soon. |
