I am currently in search of a new bike for next years Triathlon season and was offered a deal on the Miyata 1200. Guess I'm just looking for some input from people who may have had experiences with the Miyata. I currently am riding a Fuji Tivoli. Not a bad bike but it's time to get a little more serious. Listed are some of the components and features of the Miyata. FRAME Spline, triple-butted chromoly tubes HEAD SET Shimano Sante Sealed DERAILLEURS Shimano Sante SIS FREEWHEEL Shimano Sante 7 speed cassette PEDALS Shimano 600 Ultegra RIMS Wolber Alpina BRAKE SET Shimano Sante HUBS Shimano Sante Sorry if any of the terminology is wrong. Price for the bike would be about $725 Kevin

I have a friend who is also selling that bike, but it is Suntour equipped mostly, with a Campy bottom bracket. It is four seasons old, and she used it in triathlons. She really liked the bike. Check on how good the deal is though; she is selling hers for $275. It is a decent frame- they had the frame alone for sale at Belmont Wheel Works. |
