    I bought an ATB early in June and have really enjoyed it. I found
    some pretty nice trails near Manchester, NH, so I thought I may
    as well share my discovery with anyone who is interested.
    
    Lake Massabesic is the water supply for Manchester and many
    surrounding towns. All around the lake are trails, trails, and
    more trails.
    
    Directions - from 93 south.  
    Exit 6. - Straight through first set of lights, then turn right
    at next set of lights onto Hanover Street. Hanover Street ends,
    and merges with Candia Road. Continue on Candia until the rotary
    and park in the big parking lot next to the lake.
    
    There are two sets of trails. The first set starts out at the entrance
    to the parking lot. This trail used to be a railroad track that
    has been dug up. You'll know you have the right trail because there
    are warnings "DO NOT DIG. FIBER OPTIC CABLES BURIED IN THIS AREA".
    
    These trails run northeast out of Manchester. They are basically
    flat and wide. There are a few train bridges you have to cross,
    and the scenery is very nice. One warning, bring plenty of water,
    because there aren't many places to fill your bottle once you're
    out a few miles. I've gone out on this trail about 20 miles and
    there are many smaller side trails that I've never ventured on.
    
    The other set of trails is about a mile from the parking lot. Take
    the route marked 28 bypass going south towards Derry. You will go
    up one large hill and then down the other side. A little beyond
    the bottom of the hill is a bridge, and right beyond the bridge,
    you can turn onto a dirt road on the left. There are trails all
    over the place out here. I've gone out there on x-country skiis
    and my ATB, and I've never hit the same trail twice. I really don't
    know how many trails are out there, but there's plenty for everyone.

    The only warning I'll give is, don't swim in Lake Massabesic. It sure
    looks tempting, but I heard there is a $200 fine if you get caught.
