Steve Bennett, president of the Friends of the Minuteman Airport has asked for assistance re. a Fall Foliage Flights day activity at the Stow airport on October 8. (I'll be with the NVP on the Cape that weekend.) They are planning their first major community activity and would like to get a bike club involved, to do a ride in conjunction with the event. The day will include a BBQ, ice cream, FREE FALL FOLAGE RIDES, and such. Sound like a neat event to tie in with a bike ride. Would anyone like to set up a ride? [ I would think that a 10 miler for the local citizens and a 40 miler for serious bikers would be about right. ] If so, please contact Steve at SHPLOG::BENNETT. Thanks, - Chris

Steve has informed me of a date change - it's now scheduled for the 15th, [rain date: 16th]. This is the same date as the NVP Fall Metric Century, so he surely won't get any help from NVP. (There was a chance that someone not going to the Cape could have helped on the 8th, but everyone can go on the Fall Metric - there's a half metric ride too.) So, once again, can anyone help Steve? (It looks like it's turning into a nice event, with an Antique Car Club attending, food vendors, etc.) - Chris |
