Did you notice that The Globe didn't even have an article on
Hampsten's victory? The first American ever to win the Tour
de Giro, and the only publicity I saw was a few sentence under
the "NAMES:" section of the Globe sports pages.
Bicycle racing has a long way to go in the U.S.

Hi,
We must haave had different issues, in my issue of the globe there
is a picture of Andy in the pink jersey and a short description
of the stage where he took command. The only thing that worries
me is that NBC will end up owning the US broadcast rights.

Please ignore my ignorance in referring to the Tour of Italy as
the "Tour de Giro". I'll be more careful in the future. I guess
I should stick with English.
