| Re .1, I couldn't find any 633.14.
Also, could we broaden this topic a little? I'm interested in a
lightweight helmet, such as the Giro, Pro-tec Mirage, new Vetta,
or the Performance Aero. Comments? Recommendations? Thanks

| Since they all pass the standards, go with what fits. Myself I
tried on a number of helments and found the Ovation to fit the
best. So far, I like it a lot although I don't think it will be
as durable overall as my V-1 Pro.

| Bob was probably referring to my marathon cycling note 663. I just
updated it with a note on neck pain, and how I think the combination
of the Scott Clip on bars and the light weight of the Bell Ovation
have practically eliminated my neck problems on long rides. My
wife suprised me with the Ovation. I was expecting a cheap $30
performance styro job, but she remembered that I compared the Ovation
to the GYRO in the bike shop, and that the Bell didn't feel much
heavier (Supposed to be a 2 oz. difference) but the hard shell looked
like it would take more punishment from being set down on the corner
of a table and such, without cracking the styrofoam. Also, as
mentioned in -1, the Ovation has the best fit kit of *any* helmet
I have ever tried on, and I have tested most of the top brands.
Another advantage of the Ovation over the older Tourlite, but probably
not the V1 is airflow. I was especially aware of this on the 80
degree century we had last week, thinking I would have died under
anything else. Only down side is the price, but then mine was an
early fathers day present and I'm not supposed to know how much
it cost.

| I just bought a new Vetta helmet for ($39??) from Cycle World in
Framingham, and I really like it compared to my other helmet, which
was a Bell Tourlite.
I had bought the tourlite after almost getting hit by a deer while
biking back in Schenectady. I just looked for the biggest and
sturdiest helmet I could find (after having my car bashed in by
a deer, I was taking no chances with my head). The problem is I
found it too large and too heavy for me (I have a small head).
The Vetta (I'm not sure of the brand) comes in black, white, red,
or greenish-aqua, is light, comfortable, and is a great change.
Anyway, that's my two-cents
