What is a good price for '88 Specializeds, and where can I get the
best deals? I'm pretty keen on Stumpjumper or Rockhopper, but dont
want to be ripped off (who does!). I'm in the Nashua area, and need
a good local(ish) bike shop where I will get good service. I've
seen the note on Specialized dealerships (415.0), but want to check
on 1988 prices.
Thanks,

Good dealers are:
Sunshine Sports, Nashua NH
Butchika's, Salem NH
A.T. Nault & son, Manchester NH
Price guidelines (from Butchikas):
Hardrock $349
RockHopper $459
RockHopper comp $599
StumpJumper $749
These prices are rising all the time, so you'd better hurry! I found
that some of the dealers would quote a lower price over the phone
to get you to come and have a look at the bikes.
I eventually bought my RockHopper from Sunshine Sports, as it was
local, and they had a wide choice between their 2 stores. It's an
excellent bike, great fun both on and off the road.
Good Luck,
