    Just wanted to see if anyone was going to ride RAGBRAI 1988?

    My name is Michael Davidson, you can read about my previous experiences
    on RAGBRAI in note 439.

    I saw that Patti Donovan from St. Louis said she was going.  Who else?
    Is this the year for the 'DR', yes thats you Mr. Blinn.

    In 1986 we had 5 people in our group.

    In 1987 we had 12 crazies.

    In 1988 we will have 30 wild and crazy people.  Of course we must get
    accepted through the lottery.  Out of this group, there are only a
    couple who work for DEC.

    For those who go look for

    our emblem looks like the old style 'pop-top' from beer
    cans,  with a bike wheel in the ring and the Colorado flag in the tab
    portion.

    We can be found hanging out with a group from IOWA called TEAM TACKY.
    Can't miss this group, they enjoy mooning communities as they ride
    through.

    Just wanted to see again if anyone went on RAGBRAI XVI this summer?
    24 people made up TEAM HEMMORIDERS (aka Team Ragbrew).  As before, it
    was a real gas.  We rode diagonally across the state from Souix City to
    Ft. Madison.

    The first part of the week was wonderful, you would hardly believe
    there was a drought but as the week went on and we entered the hardest
    hit parts of the state, you couldn't miss it.  It was amazing that the
    people were still as friendly as they could be.  Even though their
    yards and crops were dieing for water, they were spraying us with their
    precious water on the hot days.  I felt like saying 'Keep the water,
    you need it more than I'.

    Would anybody know when registration for RAGBRAI 1989 would be taking
    place?  Would I have to call the DesMoines Register to get a
    registration form?
    
    Anybody else from DEC planning on going this year?
