A reminder, THE BIG EVENT is this Saturday, April 30 in Concord, MA;
shine (outdoors) or rain (indoors).

Besides lots of fun, it's a great opportunity to buy and sell bikes,
components, and sporting goods from/to fellow cyclists at attractive
prices.

See Chris's entry, 531.0 (hit back-up key) for all the details.

531.2Is this event open to everyone?AIMHI::SMITHNever say never, I always say.Mon Apr 25 1988 15:387

    	Is this Big Event open to all comers, or only to members of
    	the aforementioned bike clubs? Will there be any manufacturer's
    	representatives there?

531.4A VERY SUCCESSFUL "BIG EVENT"JETSAM::HANAUERMike... Bicycle~to~Ice~CreamMon May 02 1988 17:2916
Russ, it was this note.

FYI, The Big Event was very successful for all.

The official results are not in, but the Charles River Wheelmen
booth sold $3800 worth of merchandise.

Also, approximately 40 complete bikes were sold.

There was not a lot of stuff left for sale by 4:00.

Buyers, Sellers, riders and clubs all made out very well.
Thanks to all who contributed.
