I have the pleasure of attending DECWorld for two weeks. That means that I will be there over the weekend. Does anyone know where I could rent a "decent" touring bike for the weekend. I am willing to travel two or three hours (Maine, New Hampshire, The Cape...) I would also be interested in joining an organized tour for the weekend...50 miles per day or so...

Charles River Wheelmen is based in the Boston area and has a ride every Sunday. It has over 500 memberships (i'm its president). Let me know a date and I'll be glad to tell you the details. And our annual Marthas Vinyard ride is on Saturday, Sept 12 (after most of the cows have gone home from the Cape!) Not to mention the Grand Celebration of "Bike Day" with its variety of rides and events on Sept 13; and our century (25, 50, 62, 100) on Sept 20. Many bike shops rent bikes, you might at least consider bringing your own saddle. And welcome to Boston. ~Mike | |||||
