449.0. "CT bike map?" by EISBAR::EVA (Sponsor me in the PMC) Tue Sep 01 1987 13:48

    Does there exist a Connecticut Bike Map similar to the Mass or
    NH bike maps? Does anyone know where I could pick one up? Or,
    even better, if there is one, can I borrow someone's for the Labor
    Day weekend? I'd like to ride down and surprise my parents in
    Norwalk!

    route recommendations.
449.3Limitations of County MapsULTRA::WITTENBERGTheory, vapid theoryWed Sep 02 1987 10:1211
    I have a set of the county maps. They're not as useful as I had
    hoped, as they are blueprints showing every road in the county.
    There is no information about which roads have heavy traffic or
    hills. There were also one or two places where it seemed from the
    map that two roads met, but in fact there was an impassable gap.

    I'd use them as a reference when drawing maps, and for checking
    street names, but I wouldn't use them as the primary map for route
    planning.
