| | Is this the store that recently opened in Boston? Was it worth
    the trip?

    Thanks,

discovering that note 342 discusses the Nashbar Outlet store in
    Needham, MA, including directions.

| | The Needham store currently has last year's Race SIS (Tange 2 tubing,
74 parallel angles, Shimano 600 components throughout) on sale
for $349. I tried to think of an excuse to buy one, but I couldn't.

re .4	Huh ?	You just listed all the reasons to *NOT* buy it.

| | In a way, I agree with you. However, I'm thinking of taking up
cyclocross, and I didn't want to submit my GOOD bike to that
    torture....

Thanks Matt and sorry snobs, but I got down to Needham yesterday
and got a 23" Race SIS. I would really like the Vitus 579, but
with the 600 SIS set up it's around a grand. Now I have something
alot better than my Puch ( that finding 8th is an artform), and
when I get $500.00 I'll buy the Vitus frame and transfer components,
and still wind up at only $850.00.

| | Hey all you tall and short riders out there. I dropped by the Nashbar outlet
store last night to get my bike fix, and saw a couple of good deals. The
first is their Race SIS bike, $349. If you can take a pink frame, 600 SIS
components, and a 24" or 25" (or maybe larger) this looks like a very good
buy. I have two bikes already so I had to say no. (Hey Scott C, check it
out - Laura said they were your size) But then, just around the corner,
cleated shoes for $5 and $10. I don't remember the brands, but the sizes only
went up to 40, which is about a woman's 8 1/2, or men's 6-1/2. My girlfriend,
who biked twice last year, decided for $5 she couldn't go wrong. She now has
cleated shoes and I don't! If you have smaller feet, check it out, ya'all!
See this note and 342 for directions and hours.

Well..., I'm just finishing a bedroom for daughter #2. If
I were to buy a new bike (which I can't afford and have
no place to store), my wife would probably be looking for
    	another husband (who doesn't bike).

Anyway, it would be a good excuse to go there anyway, even
though I can't afford a good cable housing right now.

    	Scott (happy for big frames)
