    If you are in Colorado Springs, visit the Velodrome, at the Olympic
    training center.  They have regular practices Tues and Thur at 7:00.
    In the middle of the track there is a speed skating rink where the
    speed skaters put on those skates with 4-6 tandum wheels and do their
    training all summer.
                     
    The Velodrome is considered one of the fastest in the world because
    of the 6035 ft. altitude, and many foreign countries  come here to try 
    to set world speed records.
          
    The track is out doors and there is no charge.

	This Velodrome... where is it in Colo. Spgs. in relation to, say, CXO? Also, is that 7:00 AM or PM? What else is done at this Olympic Training Center? Sounds like an interesting stop when I'm out that way for training. -Dave-

	The Velodrome is in Memorial Park (Pikes Peak & Union Blvd), which is 15 minutes south of CXO.

	The time is 7:00 pm. The Olympic training center is nearby, but I didn't visit there. pab

	The OTC is 2 blocks north from the velodrome. They do have tours of the center but I'm not sure if there is a charge or not. -j

	I worked at CXO last summer. I also had the treat of seeing wold records night at the velodrome as a part of the world championships program. I would have loved to see more, but I was leaving Colorado the next morning. There are some beautiful areas to bike out there. If in the area, I suggest Garden of the Gods, which is a park very near the CXO site.
