110.0. "Help for Italian visitor" by SUPER::CONNELL () Fri Jul 25 1986 11:34

    I got a MAIL message from Mauro Gorrino who works for DEC in
    Turin Italy (POMPEO::GORRINO).

    He is coming to Maynard, Mass for a business trip in August and
    would like to see the Worlds while he is here. He wants to know
    if anyone is organizing a trip from Boston to Colorado.

    (It sounds like he might not be aware that they are 2000 miles apart..)

    Anyway, I thought I would help him out by putting his request in
    here.

	I have a little idea about the USA geography so I can distinguish
	California from Rhode Island and Colorado from Florida.Moreover
	people tell me that USA is the country of big distances but of big
	travels too (cost to cost , on the road and so on ).
	Finally Boston is much nearer to Colorado Spring than
	Turin and I have an ancient tradition at the Worlds in Europe
	(Sallanches (1980),Althereim(1983),Barcellona(1984),Montello(1985).
	When ,for example, Lemond leaved (is that the right word ? ) the last
	opposing ( Ruperez ) at the Worlds of Althereim ,
	it happened in front of me.So,if possible, I would like to continue
	that agreable use and see ,at Colorado Spring, Corti or Visentini
	leaving (?) the last opposing

    Sorry if I insulted your knowledge of US geography. I'm sure it
    is way ahead of my knowledge of Italian geography.

    I apologize.

    That is great you have seen all those World Championships.

    Don't worry,Chuck,I was joking.If someone says that he's hoping
    that Visentini or Corti will win at Colorado Spring,he's certainly
    joking.
