SUNDAY, MARCH 16 - 10:00 a.m. - Meet at Gamache's Cyclery, 65 Laurel
Street, Fitchburg, for a 20-25 mile ride through Townsend into
Lunenburg for a visit to Ewen's Sleepy Hollow Sugar House and Cider
Mill. Bring lunch. (If there is too much snow to bicycle, we will
cross country ski instead.)
The ride will be followed by an Open House at Gamache's where many new
products will be on display. There will be many specials and a 20
percent discount on merchandise, with the exception of bicycles, for
members of participating clubs. A drawing will also take place with
many items to be given away.
The Open House will be held from 1:00-5:00 p.m.
SUNDAY, MARCH 23 - 1:00 p.m. - Meet at the Wallace Civic Center for an easy
25 mile ride. The civic center is located on John Fitch Highway,
between Pearl Street and Pearl Hill Road, in Fitchburg.

BICYCLE TOURING WORKSHOP . . .
Easy Rider Tours, based in Cambridge, has offered to provide a free
evening workshop on bicycle touring for the Digital Bicycle Club.
Jim Goldberg, director, will show us slides of a coast-to-coast U.S.
tour, and discuss proper fitting adjustments, gearing, maps and
touring equipment. Jim has toured extensively in North America and
Europe, and currently runs tours and educational programs in New
England. If you would be interested in attending such a workshop,

will arrange a date and time.
Easy Rider Tours is also assembling a tour group for a trip to
Tanglewood in July. They also offer a $15 Tune-Up Special, which
includes adjusting derailleurs, brakes, all bearings, wheel truing

biannual event for summer 1987 in southern New Hampshire. The

A NOTE FROM THE EDITOR . . .
Well, it looks like this is good bye till around October! I'll
be leaving work on March 14, and I'll be out for six months from
whenever the potential Olympic gold medal cyclist is born (s/he
is due March 31). In the meantime, I hope you all have a
wonderful season and get in loads of miles!
If you happen to be riding through Princeton this summer, make
sure you stop in at 236 Worcester Road (Route 31). You can get
your water bottles and your tires filled, and maybe even your
stomach!!
I'll let Colin know when the Big Event happens so he can pass the
word along.
