Hi There ,

Just for those people that have problems with setting ELAN across multiple
GS-ATMs with clients attached to them.

We did some testing and discovered that the releas notes talks about adding
a STATIC ROUTE (V2.1.1 and V2.1.3 page 4 )to export the LECS address on all
ports. Well we have done so and entered the WELL-KNOWN LECS address in there
4700790000......00 as per the LANE V1.0 specifications and all the CLIENTS
nicely join the ELAN. The Static Route only required on the GS-ATM that has 
the LECS, LES & BUS .

I have attached some screens for your information :

6.1 Set/Show Routing Configuration Menu

	1. ATM Address Prefix
	2. Static Routes
	3. Default DEC Address Prefix
	4. DEC Switch ID
5.  Return to Routing/Signaling Configuration/Statistic Menu

Select 2 :

6.1.2 Set/Show Static Routes Menu

	1. Configure New Static Route
	2. Alter Existing Static Route
	3. Delete Static Route
	4. Show All Static Routes
5.  Return to Routing Configuration Menu


SHOW ALL STATIC ROUTE:

This is the well known LECS ADDR as per rel notes V2.1.3 page 4 :
option 4:
	ATM Prefix (HEX digits) : 47007900000000000000000000000000000000
	Allow Partial Match? (1-Yes, 0-No) : 1
	Forwarding Slot (1-6,8-14) : 1
	Forwarding Port (0-4) : 0
	Export Route (1-Yes, 0-No) : 1


Well-known LECS Address - From the LANE V1.0 Specifications :

If the LECS ATM address cannot be obtained from ILMI or if the LE Client is
unable to establish a Configuration Direct VCC to that address, then the
well-known address X"47007900000000000000000000-00A03E000001-00" MUST be used
to open a configuration VCC to the configuration service. 00 A0 3E is the ATM 
Forum-assigned OUI and 000001 has been allocated by the ATM Forum.
