LAT SUPPORT PROBLEM OVER ATM
==============================
One of our customer MARUTI UDYOG LTD is having atm and want lat over atm so
that printer can work with dec servers.
But we are facing problem in configuring lat over atm and w/o that it is not
possible to define fix tty in dec server 90 TL for printer.
We have define elan and ip over elan is working fine.hence terminal connected
to dec server are working thru telnet/ip.But when we try to add elan0 in lat
interface it gives following error:
#latcp -e elan0
"invalid network adapter elan0 specified"
The configuration and all details are as follows:

952.1 | LAT over LANE not currently supported | SMURF::GREBUS | DTN 381-1426 - Digital Unix | Wed May 28 1997 11:58 | 17 |
| LAT over LANE has never been formally supported.
The specific problem you are seeing is the result of a bug in the
STREAMS DLB code (not ATM or LAT). See note 840 for more information.
The fix for that bug is in PTmin (V4.0D) but there has never been an
IPMT to get it backported to any shipping releases.
With that fix, LAT should work, but it is still unsupported, because
there has been essentially no testing done.
I'm hoping to get some testing done so that we can claim support in a
future release.
