938.0. "All connectivity through GIGAswitch is lost" by KERNEL::FREKES (Like a thief in the night) Thu May 08 1997 10:51

        Folks

    I have a problem with a customer Gigaswitch. He tells me he has 6 X 4 port
    OC3 line cards. Each line card is running V2.1.3.

    All connectivity is lost through the switch. It appears that the only
    way of getting around this is to reboot the switch. He has looked in
    the error log, but this does not understandably mean much to him. Can
    anyone shed any light on what the error log is telling us.

938.1Downgrade to 2.1.2NPSS::ROUNDSThu May 08 1997 14:397
    A bug solution is currently being tested in the 2.1.3 which is most likely
    the same bug which you are experiencing. Engineering advises that you
    downgrade to 2.1.2 code until a new patch comes out within the next
    week or so that may fix this problem.

    Your log is now in engineering and the NPS support group and is being
    evaluated.
