Hi, At this moment I do have (temporarely) a Gigaswitch/ATM, but no systems. How can I quickly check whether the linecards are working? I do have two DAGGL-BA (155 Mbps) and two DAGGL-CA (622) When I put a loopback to any of the ports, it gives the following results: Port light: blinking amber. Phy.led: steady green. Mod.led:off On the 155 card connecting i.e. port 3 to 4: Port lights: blinking amber Phy.leds: steady green Mod.leds: off On the 622 card with loopback cable: Port light: blinking amber Phy. led: steady green Mod.led: off Card 622 to other 622: Port light: blinking green Phy.leds: steady amber Mod.led: off. Is this how it should look and can I somehow 'see' if packets are being send and /or received?? thanks. Ton [Posted by WWW Notes gateway]

Blinking amber port LEDs mean that ILMI connectivity has been established - so at least SNMP/AAL5 packets are getting through. Green/off for the LEDs right under the PHY connector seems pretty "normal"; I'm not sure whether amber/off is cause for concern or not. |
