Hi! I'm trying to track an ILMI problem with a K-NET audio/video codec and am wondering if there are other diagnostics commands like sig_set_trace (that just indicates the link up or down in our case), ncc_set_trace or join_set_trace (for LANE) under V2.1.2? The problem seems to be that ILMI registration cannot be done. The problem is similar in a Cisco LS1010 but it works fine on a Fore ASX-200. What version of ILMI is used in the GS/ATM (3.0 or 4.0)? Cheers, Pedro

Other than the 'uni' command (which you probably already know about), I don't think there are any official ones. For V2.5, we are adding two new diagnostic commands that will hopefully be useful in situations such as this one. They are: trace -ilmi Trace the ILMI activity on a selected link. trace -snmp Trace all SNMP traffic to/from a selected source, which may be an ILMI link. > What version of ILMI is used in the GS/ATM (3.0 or 4.0)? 3.0 / 3.1. | |||||

Thomas, >Other than the 'uni' command (which you probably already know about), I >don't think there are any official ones. Well, I was talking about the ones not mentioned in the help... ;-) >For V2.5, we are adding two new diagnostic commands that will hopefully >be useful in situations such as this one. The customer also has a 5-slot GS/ATM which he received with a V2.5ft (build date 6-March-1997) and I've asked him to issue a trace -ilmi (with the ATMswitch prompt) which he said returned an "undefined symbol" message... That's interesting ... I wasn't aware that any build of V2.5 code had been shipped to customers. The trace -ilmi command returns an "undefined symbol" message on that build because the changes to support that command were not checked in until at least a week later. |
