| I'm not aware of any problems interoperating with a CELLplex7000, but I
can't find any information that we have actually tested with one.
ATM can be used in a Truecluster system, but there is currently no
support for failover of connections through ATM or of ATM adapters.

Yes. Two or three weeks ago I had a chance to test it with NPBU people.
We used bricks demo. One 4100 as receiver. One alpha station 250 and
server 1000 as transmitter. Only one transmitter can go at one time
and congestion was detected in 4100 (maybe because CELLplex does not
have good flow control like FLOWmaster). But, we did not do any
tuning, so the choice is yours :-)

Don't know ...
>Gotcha?
On CELLplex side, you must set the port that goes to ATMworks to use
ILMI 3.0, UNI 3.0, and autoconfiguration disabled.

888.3 | Failover can occur over MC, right? | MSAM03::CHIAWAISUN | | Fri Apr 04 1997 06:17 | 7 |
| Thanks Guys,
OK, DECsafe/TruCluster will not be able to use ATM for failover
transport, but it can use the Memory Channel as failover
transport/cluster interconnect while making use of ATM as regular
network interconnect, right?

| Hi
Plans are for the next release of TruCluster Available Server
(decsafe) to support ATM. It may be limited to LANE mode...for
more discussion of this, it might be done in the smurf::ase notes
