    HI,
    
    Again problem between a SUN running solaris 2.5 with an SUN ATM module 
    connected to one port of a gigaswitch modular UTP line card port
    IT seems that LANE goes UP and some SVC's are established .We can ping
    ,telnet other stations but suddenly thelane  goes down at random.
    In that case ,the sun machine tries to reconnect the link but it goes
    up and down regularly.
    
    There is no physical link problem.It seems that the problem turns
    around LANE emulation or may be ILMI ...I don't know it is not easy to
    find the reason.UNI version 3.0 and 3.1 are used butit is the same..
    
    Questions:
    
    1)HAs somebody any experience with SUN on a DEC ATM switch?
    is there any specific parameter on the sun side?
    
    2)What can be the problem?How can I troubleshoot it?What counters?What
    to look for?
    
    3)The gigaswitch/ATM has the vesrion 2.0 firmware revision 300
    DO you think it can be a problem of revision?IS version 2.1.1 (the
    last) could fix the problem?
    You have to know that a VNSWITCH EA and the same sun machine with a
    FORE ATM module work fine....strange isn't it?
