Just a quick query .Is there a port of CDE available for Linux for
internel staff rather than having to buy it from a 3rd party ?.

Frankly, I'd be surprised if there is a free internal version.
As far as I know, that's OSF's software and I would imagine they would
want a royalty for each copy sold, like they do with Motif.
If someone knows differently, I hope we'll hear about it. But, I'm
afraid you might need to shell out the cash to Red Hat or one of the
other vendors to get it.
