I can attempt to answer your questions:
>> - what's the english for homologise?
"homologate" - the process by which a car is accepted as
roadworthy.
>>what's the phone number of the Mitsubishi importer in England
(or indeed any other European country if you have that)
Courtesy of "Alta-Vista",the following in Germany,some-one else may
chip in with U.K number:

Hi John,
the English for homologise is, homologise ! and homologation is the
same also.
The Mitsubishi Colt was sold in the UK - although there may be some
variation on models - so you shouldn't have too much trouble, I don't
know who the UK importer is though.

| Homologise sounds very much like type approval.

| Thanks for the info. (I didn't think to try Alta Vista).
Story so far: France says "jamais"; Belgium says "looks
like an invalid chassis number"! (I'll be checking that).
I now have the German and Dutch importers to try.
I'll try to let you know how it turns out.
