| I think the ad where it is driven over a cliff is very appropriate -
Its the tag line that amuses me:
"The car they don't want you to drive"
They're in luck then! :-)

| Not sure that using "The Professionals" will do anything to boost sales
either....

| Ugly looking car I agree - but I had a test drive of an Almera GTI
yesterday and all I can say is its a storming little car. It would run
rings round its modern day equivalents ( Peugeot 306 S16, Golf GTI 16V,
Astra Sport, etc) in my hour long test drive I thought it handled
exceptionally well and it was very rapid.
I thought the interior was well laid out if a little un-interesting -
but it was certainly very comfortable !!
I only had a drive because I was having my car serviced !!! I would
have one straight away - if it wasn't for the fact it was so damn ugly
!!

| I think I had the 1.4 - not sure 'cause there is no badge (stealth
marketing at its best).
The things I really didn't like were the seats (only came half way down
my thighs) and the noise (thrummming likek the bodywork was vibrating
in sympathy).
Petrol consumption was about 34 mpg over around 200 miles.
