Every year in July I take my car abroard and every year I try to get the documentation correct well in advance. I have the documents for this year but Lease Plan have sent me an ins cert that ran out on the 28 Jun. I now have to get a green card which Lease Plan are sending me as they don't know when we will get the proper certificates. If I had been told by the police to produce a my documentation within seven days of the 28th I would have a problem wouldn't I? Surely it's not beyond even Digitals capabilities to ensure we get current insurance certificates when they are due?? Guy

Thanks for the reminder Guy, You don't get seven days out here, you plead guilty and get nicked, or you say you have one, and get free room and board until you produce it! Chris | |||||

The Insurance Certificates are with Lease Plan and will be sent to every Driver in the next week. If, like others you need documentation for foreign journeys etc., it is possible to obtain a certificate direct from Digital's Insurance Dept.. This also applies if the Police need you to submit the doocument. As far as timing is concerned, the Insurance is renewed and certificates supplied by the Insurers as soon as possible after agreeing premiums etc.. Although it may seem we choose the same insurer year on year, this is not the case. Otherwise, I'd make sure the Certificates are sent out a couple of weeks beforehand. Sorry, Guy. It's in the post ! |
