As an RAC member I received a brochure through the post claiming that I could "save up to 33% on my car insurance as a woman driver". I already have a policy with Provident Insurance (Lady Driver Policy) for my 2 year old Peugeot 306 for 230 per year comprehensive. The RAC have just quoted me 167 through Sun Alliance. Two questions: Are insurance premiums really lower for women drivers, and can anyone recommend (or not) Sun Alliance as car insurers? Cheers, Goldy.
