| Hmmm, I don't know what screens you are seeing but it is the "Car
Fleet" option which can be seen in the first screen or it can be
accessed within the U.K. National option also under Car Fleet.

2513.2 | I'm seeing "Pan European VTX Services" | TAEC::quango.vbo.dec.com::Miles | Kevin Miles, VBE, DTN 828-5730 | Mon May 06 1996 16:26 | 35 |
| Even on Monday morning with a hang-over I'd have figured out "Car Fleet" was
a likely choice. Obviously I'm not seeing what the rest of you are. I suppose I
should take this to a VTX conference but since I've started...
What I get, from CHEFS, is the screen below entitled "Pan European VTX Services".
If I follow 85 to "Other European..." and then try to access 13 for "UK National"
it says I can't access that page. This is presumably something to do with the
message which says "Please note that VTX doesn't allow you to access your own
Country". (Very helpful.) If I come at this from a non-UK server (AGORA in VBO),
it refuses to let me access any other "Infobases" with a message along the lines
of "access denied". Any ideas? Should I be pointing VTX$SERVER to something else?
I've tried chefs, reovtx, & suburb and they all give me the same page.
Thanks.

| You need to get to the level above that.
That is the "Geneva" option on my front screen which is headed
"The Basingstoke Videotex Service" from the KERNEL cluster.
"Car Fleet" is also listed on this front screen.

| What does your VTX$SERVER logical point to. No matter where I point mine, I still
get this page. For example,
"VTX$SERVER" = "kernel::"143="" (LNM$PROCESS_TABLE)
still gets me the "Pan European" page. Do I need some other magic number?
Thanks.

| Thanks. The problem seems to be that my VTX client is unable to talk to any UK
servers, so what I have been seeing is VTX failover in action. My failover
server is GVAVTX... Anyway, life is too short to use VTX. I'll pursue another
avenue.

| For the VTX challenged I've put the Vauxhall listing from
LPDIRECT in 2290.147.
Actually it's worth a look anyway, I spotted some extra Astra
models (the Expression) that aren't in VTX, and I guess there
may be more.

2513.9 | VTX prices <> 2290.147 prices ?? | GEOFFN::BARKERA | | Tue May 07 1996 15:39 | 19 |
| re: .8
Hi,
I've just read 2290.147 and noticed there is quite a difference in
driver price between that list and the list on VTX, for the
Astra Sport 2.0i 3dr.
VTX = 3,490
LPDIRECT (list 2290.147) = 4,434
That is quite a difference, and I'm now quite worried because I took
delivery of such a car just over a week ago, and I sincerely hope
it was at the 3,490 price.
Regards,
Alan. :-( -potentially

| The PCL should be the price you are paying.
The LP prices will creep up as the lease prices increase.
The PCL is set in stone until the allowance is reviewed and new
PCL is posted around July/August time.

Check all your mails from leaseplan. You would have received a mail
confirming the lease cost of the vehicle (check also the list price
day before delivery as this is what you will be taxed on).

| Royston,
I've checked with leaseplan, I got my car at the 3,490 price. The
prices we see on VTX are fixed for the year.
Phew!
Alan.
