2445.1yes but how cheap is it??WELCLU::STANDERRON STANDERFri Aug 25 1995 09:4910
    Hi

    forgot the most important part - the cost.

    Give or take few quid 15, 000.00

    That should put the screws on Vauxhall at last.
    The build quality on the suzuki is far better than the Frontera

    What a poor performing engine.

    A 24 valve 2 litre V6 putting out 136 Bhp and the max torque of 125
    lb/ft right up at 4000 rpm! Very shabby.

    Still, it probably doesn't matter on a 'lifestyle' car.

2445.3V6 = more poseability??WELCLU::STANDERRON STANDERFri Aug 25 1995 13:439
    Hi Mark, yes I agree a bit naff for 2 litre but it really has I bet
    been brought out to capture more sales and is nothing to do with sheer
    performance.
     How many Vitaras do you see posing vs vitaras off the
    road. And ther's one car that has pose factor its a Vitara what with
    all those ultra wide wheel arches and whopping great tyres you see
    cruising around town.

    Ron.
2445.4I don't think they'll lose much sleep...WOTVAX::STONEGTemperature Drop in Downtime Winterland....Fri Aug 25 1995 14:4112

    ...at 22.? mpg you won't get much posing or cruising done for your
    money !

    the price may be comaprable to a Frontera Sport, but interior room,
    Off-Road and On-road performance and economy isn't.

2445.5I've Ordered a bright red one!CHEFS::RAYPFri Aug 25 1995 15:1516
    I've just ordered one on the scheme. Quote price 4,234.

    The performance, ride, handling, looks etc... on the one
    I test drove were all better than my current motor. Though as
    that's a rust ridden C-reg Montego with baldish tyres and worn
    shock absorbers it's not surprising. The MPG figures probably won't
    be a lot worse either.

    I thought the bright red one would look nice especially once the tyres
    have been painted with that black stuff that makes them look shiny :-)

    Phil.

2445.6V6 Suzuki = Frontera Estate ??BAHTAT::CARTER_AUK P6000 CuratorWed Sep 06 1995 14:145
    I looked into the Suzuki's, but for the quote price you could get a
    Frontera off the PCL. I believe you get more for your money with the
    Frontera.
