| These are/used to be big on rods for street cruises, I've seen adverts
for them in various mags (Street Machine, etc). Maybe nice on a tubbed
Ford Pop, but a BMW 7 series.........?!?!?!

| Maybe the owner had bought one of those security UV markers and bulb,
but had mis-read the instructions and stuck the bulb to his car?!?!
...not that you'd use a UV pen on a car either, but that would ruin my
theory then!

| A few years ago Volvo (sorry) did an experiment with two large UV flood
lights on the front of the car. At night this had the effect of making
light things more visible than just the normal head lights did.

It also had the effect of attracting all the flies, moths, bats etc in
the vicinity & having plastered themselves all over the car, the
driver's visibility was severly reduced - hence the trial was
abandoned!

I saw one of these a year or so ago in Geneva, on (or rather, under) an
Opel Corsa or similar. Bloody silly it looked too.
