about 50MB (and growing rapidly!) There's enough disk space here to
host it, I'm just waiting from a response from our IS team to see whether
they're prepared to have it on one of their systems.
(I have another system which has plenty of disk space if anyone knows
where I can get notes server software for Unix SVR3.0...)

| Have you made any approach to Fleet to see if they have any facility to cope
with something of this size? It would be an appropriate place.
It would certainly be a very great shame if we were to lose this Conference!

As I have already said, thanks for the offers so far and for the
constructive comments about the value of the conference and not wanting
to lose it.
We should be ok as either Richard or Chris (the other mods) are going
to take it on board.

| After all the discussions it has been decided the file will live on
TIMMII::
This is a mini cluster of 3100 Model 40 and 3100 model 20 with
sufficient and reserve disk space. The disks are shadowed, and as
it's only used as a file/print server it has the loading capacity.
I've agreed that the transfer will go ahead on the 4th March in the
evening. I'll WRITELOCK the conference from 5:00 pm that evening,
and all being well it'll be available the following morning
(depending on how long the transfer takes.
So, from 5th March 1994 please modify your entry to point to
TIMMII::CARS_UK
( Mod entry cars_uk /file=timmii::cars_uk )

| Can I suggest that you see if you can leave a small pointer notes conference at
the original location for a while. This will ensure that intermittent readers
like myself will find out about the new location.
Thanks for keeping this conference going - when I have the time I find some of
the discussions very interesting.

I'll write lock it at about 10:00 PM, and hopefull re-enable it tomorrow.

conference CARS_UK)
I hope to get Eric to leave an empty conference in the old location with this
pointer.

| Final update:
TIMMII::CARS_UK_ARCHIVE contains all notes from the original
conference up to and just past 1 march 1990. Needles to say it is set
read-only.
