Hi

John Winstanley in warrington has the 525 tds. It's really smooth and
pulls exceptionally well fro around 1800 rpm. I reckon it wouls see a
520i around the lanes.

Cheers

    The way John drives it, it could 'see' a Testarrossa !!

2218.3There is a 525 TD and a 525 TDS (Sport).CMOTEC::POWELLNostalgia isn't what it used to be, is it?Mon Feb 07 1994 13:295
There are road tests of these two in DIESEL Car magazine in February and
March issues, can't remember which way around though. I have the February
issue at home.

Having driven the BMW525TDS for six months I can thoroughly reccomened
it. It pulls much better than a 520i and is quiet when warmed up, 28/37
MPG is pretty good considering the way I drive! The downside is that the
testtarossa is still a bit faster and doesnt sound like a tractor when
starting from cold.
