    As a frequent reader of this particular notesfile, I'm pretty well
    aware of you noters' dedication to the sport of autoracing in all
    forms.  I'd like to take this opportunity to introduce myself not only
    as a notesfile participant but as the crew chief and team manager for a
    Sports Car Club of America road racing team - Symonds Racing.  My
    driver, Peter Symonds, competes in both an Elva Courier (which he
    restored himself) and also a PRS.  He won the SCCA's New England Region
    Road Racing Championship in 1991, again in 1992 and also won SCCA's
    North Atlantic Road Racing Championship in 1992 -- all in the Elva.  We
    plan to defend both those championships this year, and go for them also
    with the PRS.  Our first race was this past weekend, where we finished
    3rd in the PRS and 1st in the Elva.
    
    Since both the PRS and Elva are British in nature, I'm curious as to 
    whether or not you folks on that side of the pond would be interested
    in helping "sponsor", financially, the efforts of Symonds Racing.  I
    can forward to any interested individual the sponsorship brochure we
    had printed and are distributing here to local businesses.  The plan is
    put each "sponsor's" name on the car upon receipt of a contribution. 
    The "sponsor" in turn will receive a Symonds Racing decal, a picture of
    the cars and copies of the final results of each race.
