    I have a Peugeot 405 saloon with a rear window leak. The window is
    bonded, that is glued into the frame and then has a rubber seal put
    around. It looks as though it has been replaced before and then the
    previous owner drove it away before the glue had set.
    
    To take it out and refit it will cost about �88, and I will probably be
    liable if they break it (�100+). So I have been attacking it with the
    normal window sealants you get from Halfords etc. However as they
    rightly say they do not work too well with bonded windscreens. 
    
    Does anyone know, or could find out, the name or a source of the
    bonding adhesive used for the windows so I can try applying another
    coat of glue to try and stem the leak. I have tried asking windscreen
    fitters but they seem too keen on refitting it themselves.

	Martin, Assuming that it is covered by your insurance, it could get "accidently" broken and then would be fixed at no cost to you.......

	If the rubber bung stopper under the boot lid hinge should drop off... the pointed edge of the lid will smash the rear window !! Tch ! Tch ! bad design fault that. Happened to more than one DECcie 405 as far as I heard.

	You could find out wher the leek is and apply a layer of silicone (Bath sealant) in the general area. Pete
