1967.0. "Fast idle speed" by PEKING::GERRYT () Wed Dec 09 1992 12:34
A couple of months ago I had the 'pull-down' unit of my 4 cylinder VW
Passatt 1800cc replaced, and now I'm getting the idling speed of the
engine when warmed up at 2000rpm instead of the 900 it ought to be.
18 months ago, when this happened, the head gasket was playing up, and
the core plugs were done at the same time.
I believe the carburettor is a 2E2 model.
Anyone any ideas as to how to overcome this without expensive VW garage
bills being involved (again!)?
Tim
maybe I should have bought a LADA!.
