| | A friend used to have a 1.3 Beta, about W reg (?? Old, anyway!)
which had a rust problem but was mechanically okay, and it went
like stink! Even if it was a little on the noisy side. As for
the price, 'fraid I can't help there.

4000/5000 sounds a bit too much for a Beta Spyder Coupe.

How old is it ? The reason I ask is because its only recently
that the 1975 to 1977 models have been starting to appreciate
    in value.

Its an '81 with only 40000Km, good condition and no rust. My feeling is the
price is OK and it will hold its value if looked after.

Beta Spider valued much more highly on continent than in UK -- as it
true with most lesser-known Italian sporting cars (ie not Ferraris or
    Alfa's).

A GOOD Spider could be from 2k up -- but first find one. All the usual
terminal rust problems typical of late '70's Italian motorcars. I owned
a few, & it still hurts to remember them gently dissolving around me...

I have a full works maintenance manual for the Spider for sale!
