Aparently when one orders a car from the PCL fleet still obtain two quotes, this of course takes up time resources etc , why dont we go back to the old system of displaying valid quotes on VTX this would surely save a lot of time energy and hence money ?????? ST

The PCL was conceived because it was intended as a way of guaranteeing the employee a fixed cost for the of the most popular cars. This prevents the problem where the lease costs become more expensive than the car allowance for the base car (Cav 1.6L). This means that if you put a quote in now for a Cav that should be zero cost, it may come back at say 100/yr. This is unfair as you should get it for free. Basically fleet shoulder the extra cost if the quotes are higher than that specified in the list. If you get an individual quote for a car not on the list than it is on a take it or leave it basis. The quotes will vary depending on the current market. It is a great shame that fleet don't make public all the quotes they obtain as it would save a lot of unnecessary admin work IMO. Roy | |||||

hasn't this been discussed elsewhere? We seem to have three notes (at least) slagging off car fleet on pretty much the same issues. Ian |
