Well imho there isn't a single garage in the entire Thames Valley
region that can be trusted to do anything to any make of car
whatsoever without both cocking it up and charging an outrageous
price. Crooks, the lot of them.

I agree that there are some very bad garages in the Thames Valley, however I have
always managed to get courteous, good quality and correctly priced work from
Spratleys in Mortimer (Vauxhall Dealer), it is family owned and run. You
get to meet members of the family, and they are all accountable to the patriarch
and matriarch!

i've got a TVR ad in a magazine here and it gives a list of their
dealers, i dont know how far you want to travel but here are some
garages names and numbers.
Surrey.
Fenhurst Motor Co. 0428 653924
Station Hill Garage 0252 733377
Hampshire.
Monzasport ltd 0489 577944
Oxfordshire.
Henley Heritage ltd 0491 411177
b.t.w. it doesnt give a town in the ad to say where these garages are
just the county.

Surely rather than being ripped off by TVR dealers you can take it
to any Austin rover garage for a engine service and if its anything
like the old TVR's the back axle and suspension was off a granny and
the front suspension was off a Triumph so take your pick.

I don't know about the 3.5 Rover lump in TVRs, but tuning a Griffith or
a 420 SEAC the same way as a 3.5 Rover wouldn't be awfully effective at
getting the best out of the engine!
TVR, at least now, do a lot with the Rover lumps in their cars.

Dunno about 'Fenhurst on (0428)' - is that Fernhurst ?
(0252) is the Aldershot STD, number beginning with a 7 is Fleet area,
or so I believe. Monzasport is down here near SBP (Fareham area).
I gather that 'Henley Heritage' will be in the Henley area ?

Henley Heritage is on the Reading Road, Henley. It's part of
Henley Ag Vol*o dealership.

I've got a feeling that Station Hill Garage is in Farnham, certainly
not Fleet (aren't they numbers starting with 6?). My wife's reported
seeing a TVR dealer right opposite Farnham station.
