I have just seen a brochure by Powergard Marketing Ltd. saying. amongst
others that if this XFE (eXtra Fuel Efficiency) is fitted to your car,
not only does is improve the fuel economy and power output, but it lets
the car run "green". IE it reduces CO and NOX etc etc. It is a thinggy
which one fits into the fuel line and then you forget about it.
Combined with PRO-TEC (Total Engine Care), this reduces engine friction
etc etc.
Do any of you noters know anything about these products or has anyone
got any experience of these?
As you can gather, I am a car illiterate, apart from putting petrol in
it and driving. But I will like to save money on petrol, if I can!!
MOD: Please move this if its already under discussion somewhere
else.Honest I could not find it

Yet another gadget that cannot be as good as it's advertising claims.
If it were, don't you think *all* manufacturers would fit them ?

Don't know if it's a similar product. but in this week's autoexpress
they are testing various 'green' gadgets. They test one from Powerplus
LTD and its a 'thingy' to put into the fuel line. apparently it uses
an electromagnetic field that stabilises the fuel molecules, enabling
better oxygen bonding and a more complete burn of the mixture.
Auto-express fitted this to a 1.8 sierra and the top speed went down
2mph, fuel economy stayed the same and CO emission increased 100%.
And they charge 90 for this gadget!
